Eyelash Extensions

About Lash Extensions

Semi-Permanent lash extensions are strands of synthetic lashes that are applied one at a time or with handmade bouquets to your natural lashes. Extensions are silky soft and virtually weightless. With proper aftercare and regular refills, lash extensions can be permanent, and, unless improper care or application, should never require full removal or breaks.

When applied correctly, lash extensions generally require refills every 2 - 3 weeks. This will depend upon the growth cycle of your natural lashes, the expertise of your lash stylist and most importantly your care and maintenance between visits. You should still have a minimum of 50% of your extensions remaining at time of refill.

Refill lengths depend upon your retention, the cleanliness of your lashes, the amount of grown out lashes requiring removal, the number of natural lashes you have, and even your eye shape and the curl, direction and colour of your natural lashes.

Etiquette

Please arrive on time to your appointment. If  you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment please do so with as much notice as possible. From the moment you book your appointment we commit to holding this position for you. If the booking is cancelled within 24 hours a late cancellation fee of 50% of the booking amount applies. A no show fee of 100% of the booking amount applies where failure to attend with no notice occurs.

Please do not consume caffeine within 24 hours of your eyelash extension appointment as our wish is for you to relax and you are welcome to sleep during your appointment. Caffeine increases eye activity which not only stops you from relaxing, but also slows down the extensions process as flickering eyes disrupts the technician from their work. Watering eyes also cause a disruption to application. Appointments take longer which costs you more.

Please come with makeup free eyes to ensure great lash adhesion, we need your lashes to be squeaky clean.

Upon booking your first appointment with us please let us know of any previous allergies or if you require a removal or patch test. If you have had a lash lift within 2 months of your appointment, you'll need a reversal prior to your appointment.

Aftercare

Once you have been lovingly lashed by one of our trained artists, we pass the baton to you to ensure your lashes stay in place for as long as possible, and remain clean and healthy. Here are the tips, tricks and tools you'll need to look after your beautiful extensions at home and on the go:

DO NOT pick, pull, trim, cut, play with, rub or over brush your lashes.

DO NOT put any products on your lashes. Particularly avoid mascara, strip lashes, lash curlers, oily products and products with high alcohol content.

If you are a heavy makeup wearer, it is recommended you purchase our Lashbox LA Fluff Guard for use after each makeup application, in addition to regular cleaning.

CLEAN your lashes daily with one of our lash cleanser options available in salon.

DO NOT sleep on your lashes. You will lose more lashes on your favourite sleeping side, and face sleepers are not ideal candidates for eyelash extensions as they do not last well being buried into a pillow all night. A silk pillow case is recommended, and keep your lashes off the pillow for best retention.

AVOID using Q-tips or anything with lint fibre on or around your extensions. Towels are to be used to pat dry only, do not drag towel over extensions.

AVOID extreme heat near your lashes, such as dryers, straighteners, curlers, ovens or lighters as this may cause the extension to loose curl or singe the tips.

DO brush your lashes daily to fan them out and keep them fluffy and in line. When brushing, avoid the eyelid and base of the extensions to reduce premature loss of extensions.

We promote proper hygiene to keep your eyes healthy. We reserve the right to refuse service if the integrity of your health is compromised. Your health is our first priority. If you do not maintain your eyelash extensions, you may be subject to a full set fee for a returning client. A minimum of 50% of your previous extensions should be intact to avoid the full set fee. This will be discussed with your Lash Artist prior to starting your appointment.

Clients coming from another establishment, please note; based on the state of your current lash set or eye condition you may be subject to a removal and new set fee.

Please note, prices are subject to change without notice.
